The pool and the room where ok
Very bad change rate. Not at walking distance from the ruins as mentionned. We had to take a taxi. With the taxes finaly the bill is hight
Close to bus station And the ruins.
No hot water On the shower! Wireless not available In the room, just In the lobby.
The Hotel is one of the few decent places to eat in this pestilent city called Piste--one of the ugliest in Yucatan. The bedrooms are large and most have 3 double beds. If you have your own car, drive 20 minutes to the lovely city of Valledolid after you see Chicen Itza, and enjoy a wonderful evening for dinner with many good hotels.
This hotel services busloads of tourists who arrive at noon or at 5 pm and leave at 8 am. Many rooms around the lobby get the noise, music, guffaws, whoops of the French tourists having a drunken, clapping, happy good time. Don't accept a room that looks out on the lobby; don't accept a room that looks out on the one main street through town which has giant trailer trucks all night. The dining room serves Europenized Mexican food for groups of 50 or more, so it is not the place to find some of the varied wonderful Mexican dishes from Yucatan.
Close to Chichen, 20 peso for a taxi ride to the entrance. Dinner buffet is great, one of our best mexican dining experience.
Nice hotel quite close to Cichen Itza, Even though it could be a matter of discussion if it's walking distance. Anyway a taxi costs only 5$ so it's not a big deal. Service minded and friendly staff, quick check in and out.
Nice rooms, friendly atmosphere, good location if you sant to visit Chichen Itza.
The location was good.
The hotel staff was not friendly. We paid online for a "superior" room and when the front dest was told this they seemed to get upset and proceeded to tell the bell hop to show us to the standard room but to tell us it was a superior. The air conditioner did not work and it was very hot. We asked to be moved and after a great deal of frowning and acting upset they showed us to a different room. We bought a couple of margaritas from the bar and were charged $120 (peso) but when we ordered the same drinks later that evening the same girl charged us $150 (peso) and started laughing with the other men employees that were gathered around the bar watching tv. After that, every time we walked by the whole group of them snickered and laughed.
Staff friendly. Very close to the Mayan site. Swimming pool.
Rather noisy as it is on the main road and our room was very near the road and directly over a parking spot for buses to discharge and pick up passengers. Also a very noisy pump in the roof over our room which seemed to come on whenever anyone had a shower. I think a modest breakfast should be included in the price. Fresh drinking water should be available either in the rooms or in the corridors. I do not feel we were given a superior room!
It was close to Chichen Itsa and the amenities (pool, restaurant, tv) were quite convenient, pleasant. I loved the birds in the parking tree!
mould on the wall, ants in the bathroom, smell of a fungus, bathtube instead of shower, small beds. nothing more to add...
20 Min Walk to Maya Ruins, Spacious Rooms (superior room facing garden), Lunch Buffet
Annoying strive for extra money: full advance payment when booking, american breakfast is only 7 USD but sold online for 13.50 USD, one person in restaurant wanted to charge me 30 USD for a 20 USD meal, Taxi surcharge when booking through hotel.
Were charged more than what was negotiated at the start and without my consent
Noisy. Behind the bathroom wall was the bar, and TV . You could hear everything. People party around the pool until late in the evening. No darkness in the room before midnight when they finally turn off the lights outside which you have in your eyes when lying in bed because the curtains are so thin. You need ear plugs and eye cover in this hotel. Also the buffet closes at 18h00. After that time, it's à la carte, which consists of the same food, except more expensive and served very slowly.
Only location not far from ruins
The hotel is very nice. It is well cared for and safe. The manager lives on site and is very friendly. You can tell the hotel is very important to him. I would highly recommend this hotel.
The beds are very uncomfortable.
The worst guacamole we had in Mexico. The wi-fi doesn't work very well in the rooms. It's not walking distance to Chichen Itza even if it's pretty close.
